The meeting starts at noon. $10 per person\nThis Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce Membership & Networking Meeting is sponsored by Cumberland County Department of Workforce Development\nThe Port will be home to multiple factories that will build the necessary components for offshore wind turbines. It is also strategically situated for component staging\, final assembly\, and transport (collectively known as marshalling). At full build-out\, the Port will support up to 1\,500 permanent\, high-quality manufacturing\, assembly\, and operations jobs. Construction will start in 2021 and will create hundreds of jobs. The State is committed to using union labor to construct the project and intends to set a new standard for inclusion of minority and women workers and business owners. Most jobs at the Port will not require a college degree. Workers will need trade or skill certifications\, like welding or an electrician’s license. Overall\, the Port is expected to support up to $500 million of new economic activity within the State and the region each year. \nThe New Jersey Wind Port will provide a major economic boost to the State of New Jersey\, Salem County\, and the region: \n\n\n\nAt full build-out\, the New Jersey Wind Port will support up to 1\,500 manufacturing\, assembly\, and operations jobs.\nThe State currently estimates the Port will cost between $300-400 million at full build with Phase 2 designs being finalized.\nPort construction\, which is targeted to start in 2021\, will create hundreds of additional union jobs.\nOverall\, the New Jersey Wind Port is expected to support up to $500 million of new economic activity within the State and the region each year.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will receive the Zoom meeting information when you register for this event.\nThank you to our meeting sponsor:
